Riccarton, we’ve rolled in HOT. 🔥
What was once a moody, black speakeasy-style bar (big love to Rogues of Rotherham) has now transformed into a bright-orange, joy-soaked dessert café — same walls, totally different kind of delicious chaos.

And the turnaround? A wild three months from lease signing to scoops in hands. The mahi was huge, the hustle was real, and now the doors are flung open and the gelato is officially on tap (not literally, but you get the vibe).

Inside our sunny new spot:

• Fresh batches churned daily — peep through the window and catch the behind-the-scenes churn show.

• The Riccarton crew is in flow, doing their dramatic pre-shift wrist stretches like gelato is a competitive artform (because… it kinda is).

• Scoops stacking sky-high, cones flying out faster than you can say “one more sample.”

• And the vibe?? BUZZING. ALWAYS.

We’re thrilled. We’re grateful. We’re SO HAPPY TO BE HERE. 🧡

For our first specialty flavour..... we kicked off a classic student showdown: design a gelato flavour that represents Riccarton and pitch it in a 15–30 second video. Flats and friend groups delivered everything — chaotic skits, cute animations, campus-core energy — all battling for a year’s supply of Rollickin and the honour of seeing their flavour land on our brand-new Riccarton menu.

And the crew who took it out?
Ruby, Sophie, Stella, Aislinn, Macy, and Anika.
These six legends tapped into pure Chch student culture with a Hunt for the Wilderpeople twist, rallied a tidal wave of votes, and claimed the win with their Black Forest flavour idea.

Now their creation — RICCY BAKER — is officially on the menu (until 10th Dec) at our Riccarton store.
A flavour dreamed up by students, voted in by the community, and churned fresh just down the road.

Riccarton, this is your era. 🧡🍒
