đïž WEEK ONE: Blue Skies, Then a Dead Heat
Blueberry Lux burst out of the cabinet with an early 28% lead, while David Sâmore toasted away behind on 26%. By the end of the week Blueberry Lux had mellowed to 25%, and David Sâmore had marshmallowed its way level. Two flavours, one podium, 25% each. You could have heard a crumb drop.
Meanwhile, further down the cone, things got juicy:
đ Cherry on âOp made the biggest leap of the week, from 11% to 14%. Our theory? Itâs the real cherries. Customers can taste the difference, and they keep coming back for seconds. Talk about the cherry on top.
đ Kai Reka KĆ«mara dug up two extra points to reach 12%. Nobody saw this one coming, except maybe the kĆ«mara. Itâs a rare, one-of-a-kind New Zealand flavour, and it has quickly become a customer fave and the unexpected gem of the cabinet. Who knew a humble root vegetable could put down roots in a gelato race?
đ Orange Choc Chippy chipped away nicely, up from 10% to 11%.
đ” Marama Matcha brewed up an extra point to 7%. Slow and steady steeps the race.
đŹ All Sorts of Winston slipped from 8% to 7%. Never count this one out, though.
End of week one: Blueberry Lux 25% · David Sâmore 25% · Cherry on âOp 14% · Kai Reka KĆ«mara 12% · Orange Choc Chippy 11% · Marama Matcha 7% · All Sorts of Winston 7%
đ„ WEEK TWO: Sâmore Licks Ahead!
The tie is broken! As of Monday 12 October, David Sâmore has nudged one gooey point clear to 26%, while Blueberry Lux holds its berry ground on 25%. One point between them, and still plenty of season left to swirl. Our analysts are calling it the closest cone-test in years. (Okay, our analysts are the people behind the counter, but theyâve tasted every flavour, so theyâd know.)
The middle of the pack didnât budge a single point this week. Cherry on âOp (14%), Kai Reka KĆ«mara (12%), Orange Choc Chippy (11%) and Marama Matcha (7%) all held their scoops steady. Thatâs some serious cone-sistency.
Allsorts of Winston dipped another point to 6%. Anyone whoâs followed politics knows this flavour has allsorts of comeback potential, so keep an eye on the cabinet.
End of week two: David Sâmore 26% · Blueberry Lux 25% · Cherry on âOp 14% · Kai Reka KĆ«mara 12% · Orange Choc Chippy 11% · Marama Matcha 7% · Allsorts of Winston 6%
Percentages are rounded, so they might not add to exactly 100. Blame the maths, not the gelato.
đ€ Learning Gem of the Week
Spot the seat arch on our in-store boards? Parliament usually has 120 seats, and it takes 61 to form a government. Thatâs why real-life results often come down to who can team up. Think of it as politicsâ version of a double scoop.
