🍦 SCOOP POLL: The Visit Effect! Cherries Rise & Matcha Makes a Comeback

Good afternoon, Christchurch. It’s been a developing situation in the gelato cabinet.

Since our last report, the gap at the top has widened, a kūmara has gained ground, and TWO party leaders have entered the café. Both left with an extra point for their flavour.

Our newsroom is calling it The Visit Effect. Our scoopers are calling for another tray.

🔥 David holds. Blueberry slips. The gap grows.

Last week, David S’more edged into first place with 26%, just ahead of Blueberry Lux on 25%.

David has held that position, while Blueberry eased to 24% earlier this week — turning a one-point lead into two.

Hardly enough room to park a campaign bus, but in this cabinet, every scoop counts.

🍵 Matcha dips… then Chlöe drops in!

Marama Matcha had slipped from 7% to 6% earlier this week. A little less steam in the teapot.

Then Greens co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick visited, the scoops got moving, and Matcha brewed its way back to 7%!

🍒 Qiulae puts another cherry on ’Op

Qiulae Wong also popped in, and Cherry on ’Op climbed from 14% to 15% following her visit.

Last report, we were talking about its jump from 11% to 14%. Now it’s added another point and is holding third place.

The cherries have momentum. The newsroom has questions. Mostly: how many cherries can we reasonably fit in a cone?

🍠 Meanwhile, beneath the surface…

Kai Reka Kūmara has climbed from 12% last week to 13%.

No loud announcement. Just a root vegetable quietly improving its position while everyone watches the front-runners. We’re going live to the vegetable patch for comment.

🍊 Chippy stays steady. Winston loses a little liquorice.

Orange Choc Chippy remains at 11%, delivering another week of cone-sistency.

Allsorts of Winston held 6% earlier this week before easing to 5% in the latest standings. Still allsorts of time for another twist.
